This spring BestMech is offering a R500 service on cars and bakkies, with a free diagnostic included. The R500 covers the workshop labour for the service and the diagnostic scan. The service kit, parts and oil are excluded and billed separately so you only pay for what your vehicle actually needs.

What is included in the R500

•       Workshop labour for a standard service on a passenger car or bakkie

•       Free diagnostic scan — fault codes, live data and a written finding, not a guess

•       Multi-point inspection: oil leaks, belts, hoses, brakes, cooling system, lights and basic safety items

•       A clear quote if anything extra is needed — you approve it before we proceed

What is not included

•       Service kit (oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, cabin filter and similar items as applicable)

•       Engine oil and other fluids

•       Any replacement parts (brakes, belts, sensors, plugs, and so on)

•       Major repairs, overhauls or jobs that fall outside a standard service

We keep labour and parts separate on purpose. That way the R500 stays a real price, not a teaser that balloons once the bonnet is open.

Why service now

•       Spring is when neglected winter oil, clogged filters and tired belts start showing themselves — usually on a hot day, far from home.

•       A diagnostic before the December rush often finds a cheap fix instead of a breakdown on the N4.

•       Bakkies that work through the week — site runs, school lifts, farm trips — take more punishment than a weekend car. They need the interval kept.

Terms and conditions

1.      Offer applies to cars and bakkies only. Trucks and heavy commercial vehicles are excluded.

2.      The R500 covers labour for a standard service plus a free diagnostic scan.

3.      Service kit, parts and oil are excluded and charged extra at workshop rates.

4.      Any additional repairs require your approval before work starts.

5.      Offer is valid for spring 2026 while workshop capacity lasts. Booking is required.

6.      Cannot be combined with other promotions unless agreed in writing.

7.      BestMech reserves the right to decline vehicles that are not roadworthy or that require specialist equipment beyond a standard service bay.
